About Radicle (RAD)
Radicle is an open-source, peer-to-peer network for software collaboration. The network is based on Radicle Link, a gossip replication protocol built on Git. The protocol has an opt-in integration with Ethereum to secure project data. It also gives users the ability to fund and manage decentralized software projects.
RAD is an ERC-20 utility token compliant with the Ethereum network. It is primarily a governance token for the Radicle DAO, which governs the network's (optional) Ethereum integration smart contract and DAO Treasury. Radicle users can opt-in to the network's Ethereum integration and are subject to fees when using some of its smart contracts. RAD holders receive discounted or waived fees for holding the token. Users can also pay developers and teams using RAD tokens (and other ERC-20 tokens).
The total supply of RAD is capped at 100 million RAD.
