Gemini Referral Rewards Program Terms

Current Referral Program Offer (Starting November 24, 2025 )

• The Icon and Legend revenue share tiers have been discontinued.

• New referrals will only qualify for the Recruit reward when the referee trades ≥ USD $100 / EUR €100 / AUD $100 in their first 30 days).

• Users who already qualified for Icon or Legend before this update will continue receiving revenue share rewards until the end of their original 12-month earning period. No new referrals may qualify for Icon or Legend tiers after this update.

• Eligible Gemini users can refer others directly through the Rewards Hub or a unique referral link. Both the referrer and the referee can earn crypto rewards based on the referral’s trading activity within their first 30 days as a registered Gemini user.

• To qualify:

  • The referred user must sign up, complete account verification by uploading an ID, and trade at least USD $100 / EUR €100 / AUD $100 within 30 days of registration. Unverified accounts are not eligible.

  • Once this requirement is met, they join the Referral Club, and both parties earn referral rewards based on the following referral tiers:

Limited-Time Offer (04/30/2025 - 09/24/2025)

$50 Referral Offer  (3/11/2025 - 4/30/2025)

Limited-Time Offer (2/13/25 - 3/11/25)

• Share your referral link via social media, text, email, or any platform of your choice

• Sync your mobile contacts on mobile to send direct invites via text!

• Send email invites directly on web!

• Your referral link is available in the Referral modal on both the mobile and web homepages. You can also find it easily in the Rewards hub.

• Both the referrer and referee earn an equal share of trading fee revenue based on the referee’s trading activity—because we value both equally!! Legacy participants remain eligible for their Icon/Legend payouts until their 12-month period ends.

• Check the Rewards section in your account—if you can view and interact with it, you're eligible! Gemini Referrals is available in limited jurisdictions at Gemini’s sole discretion.

• Referral rewards are available only to new Gemini Exchange users who have not previously signed up for an account

• Gemini may, from time to time, immediately, and at its sole discretion, modify this list of eligible jurisdictions or make this reward available to users in other territories, subject to applicable law. 

• Not eligible yet? We’re expanding to new jurisdictions all the time, so keep an eye out! 

• Your referral has 30 days from sign-up to meet the trading requirements for referral rewards.

• ✅ Included: All revenue-generating trades (Instant Buy/Sell/Convert, OTC trades, Active Trader trades, and derivatives trades in eligible jurisdictions).

• ❌ Excluded: Crypto and fiat deposit and withdrawals, stablecoin-to-stablecoin trades, and certain derivative trades (e.g., Tokenized Stocks).

• Do we still earn a crypto reward if my referral reaches Icon or Legend status?

  • Yes! If your referral trades over $100, you both receive a Recruit reward. Legacy Icon/Legend participants continue to earn revenue share until their 12-month period ends.However, for multiple referrals, the total payout is subject to the maximum limit.

• How can I track my referral’s progress?

  • Both you and your referral can monitor their trading activity and tier eligibility in the Rewards Hub. Once the 30-day qualification period ends, their final tier determines the rewards you both receive.

  • To qualify for referral rewards, the referrer’s account must be open, active, and in good standing at the time of reward payout. Suspended, restricted, or otherwise non-compliant accounts will not receive referral rewards.

  • To qualify for referral rewards, both the referrer's and referee's accounts must be open, active, and in good standing at the time of reward payout. Accounts that are closed, suspended, restricted, or otherwise not in compliance with Gemini’s policies will not be eligible to receive referral rewards.

• When will my referral’s trades appear?

  • Referral trade activity updates within 48 hours after the trade is completed.

  • The “Pending” status in the Rewards Hub does not mean your referral is ineligible, it may simply be processing.

• When will I receive my referral rewards?

  • Recruit Referral: Paid 32 days after sign-up to confirm legitimate participation.

  • Legacy Icon & Legend Tiers: Payouts continue monthly until the end of the 12-month period.

  • You can track all referral activity and earnings in the Rewards Hub.

  • Limited-time promotions that modify payout structures will follow the terms as stated at the time of the promotion’s launch but remain subject to Gemini’s ability to alter or terminate such promotions at any time. Users should review the Rewards Hub and official Gemini communications for any updates regarding payout timelines and structures.

• How many referrals can I make and do I get a reward for every referral?

  • Recruit referral tier has a maximum payout cap of either €1,500 or AUD $1,500 or USD $1,500 depending on your country of residence. This means that while you can refer multiple users at the Recruit level, the total rewards you can earn from these referrals will not exceed the respective limit for your country.

  • To maintain program integrity, self-referrals, duplicate account creations, or any attempts to manipulate the referral program are strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification from the program and possible account suspension.

• I’m an influencer—how can I refer my audience?

  • You can share your referral link with your audience through social media or other platforms. You’ll earn rewards when referees trade at least $100 (Recruit). Legacy referrals may still display higher tiers until their 12-month period ends.Keep in mind that the Recruit-level referral tier is subject to a $1,500 payout cap, but feel free to reach out to affiliates@gemini.com and we can discuss a specialized influencer arrangement with you!

• How do I track my referral rewards?

  • Visit the Rewards Hub to see:

    • A list of all referrals and their status

    • Your monthly trading fee revenue rewards from legacy Icon and Legend referrals will remain visible until expiration.

    • Which referrals are earning you the most

• The Rewards Hub is your central dashboard for:

  • Discovering new rewards

  • Tracking past and current rewards

  • Managing active offers

  • Engaging with reward promotions

• Our goal is to provide you with autonomy and transparency when it comes to taking advantage of Gemini offers applicable to you.

• It's important to remember that any rewards earned through the Gemini referral program may be taxable income in your country of residence. 

• U.S. users earning over $600 in bonuses/promotions may receive a Form 1099-MISC from Gemini.

• It's recommended that you consult with a tax professional to determine the exact tax implications of receiving rewards from our referral program. Additionally, you are responsible for reporting any income earned through our referral program on your tax returns. Failure to do so may result in penalties or fines from your local tax authorities.
