Gemini Fees
Orders placed through the Gemini mode interface on our website or mobile application are subject to the following:
Fees
Fees are charged for orders placed on Gemini to buy, sell, or convert cryptocurrencies. We calculate these fees when you place your order and they are subject to influence by various factors, which may include your payment method, order size, market conditions, jurisdiction, asset, and/or other costs incurred to facilitate your transaction. You can view the fees in the trade review screen prior to confirming your transaction. Note that fees may vary for similar transactions. When you complete an order, you agree to pay the applicable Gemini fees for the transaction.
Spread
When you place an Instant order or a Recurring order, Gemini includes a spread in the quoted price. When you convert from one cryptocurrency to another, the spread is also included in the exchange rate. The spread intends to increase the likelihood of a successful transaction and enables Gemini to temporarily secure your quoted price while processing your order. Gemini may retain excess spread from a transaction. Note that the spread may vary for similar transactions.
Variations
Gemini may test changes to fees and spread from time to time, and such changes may be deployed across different categories, including asset, order size, jurisdiction and type of trades.
Fee Denominations
Fees are charged in quote currency, or the second currency in the pair. For example, the BTC/USD transaction fee will be charged in USD, while the ETH/BTC transaction fee will be charged in BTC.
Notice of Changes
Any change to our Gemini Fees, will be communicated via email and/or posted at least three calendar days before taking effect. No changes will be implemented for fewer than 30-calendar-days, subject to any shorter period of time that may be required by applicable law or regulation.
Any order placed after the effective date indicated in any such notice will be subject to the new terms and you will be deemed to have agreed to these new terms by your continued use.
