We recently launched Gemini Agentic Trading, the first agentic trading tool to be available directly through a regulated US-based exchange. Whether you're a developer building a custom strategy from scratch or a trader who wants to plug in an AI agent and get started, you can now connect to Gemini through MCP to use Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI to automate your trading in a way that's as simple or as powerful as you need it to be.

Agentic trading means your AI agent acts on your behalf. That includes placing trades, monitoring markets, and managing risk automatically. Instead of watching a chart and reacting, you define a strategy and let your agent execute it.

How It Works

Connect Your AI Agent via MCP

At the core of Gemini Agentic Trading is support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that gives AI agents direct access to APIs so they can take actions on your behalf.

We've integrated the full Gemini API with MCP–so anything you can do with a traditional API, your AI agent can now do, too. If you're already using Claude, ChatGPT, or any other AI, you can connect it to Gemini through MCP and immediately unlock the full range of our trading features, whether you are placing orders or reading market trends agentically.

No rebuilding your setup or switching platforms. Just connect, define your strategy, trade, and evaluate performance.

Trading Skills: Building Blocks for Your Strategy

To help you get started and to accelerate what experienced traders can build we've introduced Trading Skills, which serve as modular, pre-built functions agents can call to get things done. Think of Skills as the toolkit your AI agent reaches for when it needs to act. At launch, the following Skills are available:

• Get Market Data: Pull real-time prices, order book depth, and market conditions on demand
• Find the Spread: Instantly query the bid-ask spread for any trading pair
• Retrieve Candles: Access historical OHLCV candlestick data to power pattern recognition and backtesting

Skills can be incorporated directly into your AI agent and used to direct their trading activity. Ask your model to issue a sell order of BTC when the price of Bitcoin reaches $100k, or to issue a buy order of BTC when the bid-ask spread reaches .01% and your agent will use the right Skill to act on these requests.

And this is just the beginning. We'll be expanding the Skills library to enable you to trade completely agentically using a diverse suite of skills and models.
