📈 Crypto Markets Overview

SEC to unveil new crypto guidelines: The new guidelines could reportedly include an innovation exemption that will allow financial institutions to offer 24/7 trading of tokenized securities and a four-year registration exemption for crypto startups. Additionally, the new guidelines could reportedly loosen fundraising reporting requirements and create a framework for some investment contracts for digital assets. The rules are meant to pave the way for TradFi institutions to push further into the tokenization arena.

Strategy CEO pledges to buy bitcoin again before year-end: The news comes after Strategy pivoted into a buy-and-sell strategy earlier this summer, rocking the bitcoin market after aggressively building its bitcoin treasury. Le said the company will resume buying after it bolsters its US dollar reserve so it has enough liquidity to continue servicing the 12% bi-monthly dividend for STRC, the company’s preferred stock. Strategy currently owns 840,447 BTC at an average price of $75,385.

Inflation drops to 3.4% but bitcoin doesn’t budge: Core CPI, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, jumped 2.5% from the same period last year. The tame readings helped push TradFi markets higher and it lessened the chances of a rate hike later this year, but bitcoin remained subdued as demand for digital assets continued to remain muted even as sellers tired.

📊 Stocks & Equities

CoreWeave rallies 19% on earnings beat: The latter was up 112% from the $1.2 billion in revenue it posted during the same period a year earlier. The company said it had a revenue backlog of $104 billion as of June 30, and another $25 billion in committed capital since then as hyperscalers continue to vie for more AI computing capacity.

SpaceX shares charge higher: The sharp move pushed the stock back above its $135 IPO price and put increased pressure on short sellers that wagered the stock would continue to drop from its all-time high above $200. The positive move came after Elon Musk said the company’s AI revenue would surpass the rest of the company’s revenue in September. Last week, the company released more than 911 million shares from their initial lock-up period, about 7% of the company’s total outstanding shares.

🔮 Prediction Markets

Scheffler returns for FedEx St. Jude Championship as golf playoffs begin: World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to action this week for the first round of the PGA Tour playoffs at the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis. Despite not winning since the opening tournament of the season, Scheffler continues to garner lofty expectations because of his consistent finishes near the top of the leaderboard. On Wednesday, traders gave Scheffler a 16% chance to win the tournament, more than double any competitor.

Traders turn bearish on XRP prices: XRP has gone through a tough run during the crypto bear market. The popular digital currency from Ripple has dropped nearly 70% over the past year, dipping below $1 this week amid weakening demand from retail and institutional investors. XRP ledger transactions dropped 44% from August 5 to August 9, and Grayscale’s XRP Trust sold $103 million XRP in the first half of 2026. Now, traders appear split where the price is headed, pricing in a 40% probability it trades at $1 or above by the end of the month.

Notre Dame emerges as a heavy favorite to make the College Football Playoff: Life is apparently pretty good when you’re a Notre Dame fan. With no official conference and a loaded roster, the Fightin’ Irish play a fairly light schedule in 2026. And traders have taken notice, giving Marcus Freeman’s team an 84% shot to make the 12-team College Football Playoff, followed by Ohio State and Miami at 75%, respectively. Notre Dame’s toughest games appear to be tilts with Miami at home and BYU on the road, plus an opener at Lambeau Field against Wisconsin.
