Gemini to Power Spot Bitcoin ETF in Australian Market First

Today, we are pleased to announce Gemini’s support for the , among Australia’s first spot bitcoin ETFs. Powered by Gemini’s institutional-grade security and custody infrastructure, CBTC will provide Australian investors with regulated and secure access to spot bitcoin.

Offered by Cosmos Asset Management Pty Ltd (Cosmos AM) on the Cboe Australia stock exchange, CBTC will provide Australian investors access to the world’s largest spot bitcoin solution through a fund-of-funds structure that will hold the Canada-based Purpose Bitcoin ETF (BTCC) — the world’s first ETF to hold “physical bitcoin.” BTCC was launched by Purpose Investments Inc. in 2021 and is custodied by Gemini. The fund has an AUM of over $1.2 billion USD in crypto.

Cosmos AM’s partnership with Gemini and Purpose Investments Inc. will provide Australian investors with exposure to a highly liquid and regulated spot bitcoin ETF product.
