Gemini Now Offers USDT and USDC Transfers On Solana

For the first time, Gemini Exchange and Gemini Wallet customers can now deposit USDT and USDC on the Solana network. With the addition, Gemini customers can make transfers for these stablecoins using multichain rails with Solana, Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and Avalanche.

Here are the benefits of using Solana rails for USDT and USDC:

Fast settlement: Solana provides nearly instant confirmations- this is ideal for retail and institutional traders moving stablecoins quickly, addressing a key pain point for customers transacting on Ethereum and rollups.

Low network fees: Network fees on Solana are typically a fraction of a cent. We show estimates before you confirm. Gemini may charge additional fees to cover bridging and internal liquidity management as outlined in the Gemini User Agreement

Broad access: A majority of Gemini customers will be able to transfer USDT and USDC via Solana, though availability depends on your jurisdiction.

More DeFi opportunities: On Solana, USDC and USDT serve as the dominant on-chain settlement assets, with stablecoin transfers frequently exceeding tens of billions of dollars per month across DeFi, payments, and transfers. By adding the network, Gemini customers can pursue DeFi market opportunities leveraging the Solana ecosystem.

Gemini has prioritized giving customers a multichain experience. In August, we announced support for ETH and USDC on Optimism and Arbitrum in addition to the Ethereum network.
