Gemini Files Pre-Registration Undertaking With Ontario Securities Commission, Underscoring Dedication to Canadian Market

Today, we are thrilled to announce that Italian, Portuguese, and Turkish-speaking customers can now interact with the Gemini web and mobile applications in their preferred languages to deposit, trade, and custody over 100 cryptos.

The availability of these new languages is an important step on our mission to provide accessible and innovative crypto services to users around the world — with Gemini now available in more than 70 countries. 

You can change the language on our mobile or web app in a few quick steps:

On web:

Gemini is Now Available in Italian, Portuguese, and Turkish 

We are thrilled to announce that Spanish-speaking Gemini customers can now buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies across Gemini’s web and mobile platforms in their native language.

This launch illustrates Gemini’s continued commitment to providing secure and innovative crypto products to Spanish-speaking audiences around the globe. Gemini is currently available in 13 Spanish-speaking countries.

To change the language on the mobile or web app, select “Account” on the top right of your screen. Under the "Account" section, click "Language" and then select "Spanish."

The launch of Gemini’s Spanish language option comes on the heels of our recent expansion into Latin America. In December 2021, [we announced a partnership](https://www.gemini.com/blog/gemini-to-offer-crypto-trading-to-bancolombia-customers-with-latin-american) with Bancolombia, a leading Colombian bank, as part of a one-year pilot program run by Colombia’s financial regulator, the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia (SFC). Through the program, select Bancolombia customers are offered seamless and secure access to crypto.

There is immense potential in Spanish-speaking markets, and they represent an opportunity to realize the promise of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. According to our [2022 State of Crypto report](https://www.gemini.com/state-of-crypto):

- More than one in five (22%) of people in Mexico own cryptocurrency, compared to 20% for the U.S.
- More than one in three (37%) of those who don’t own crypto in Latin America indicated they plan to become investors in the next year.
- More than half of respondents in Mexico (55%) and Colombia (56%) indicated that cryptocurrency is “the future of money.”

We are excited about the promise for crypto to play a central role in improving access to financial services across the globe, and we believe that providing the Gemini experience in Spanish will help turn promise into reality.
