About Hyperliquid (HYPE)

The HYPE token powers the Hyperliquid ecosystem. It is used for network staking, governance participation, and as gas on HyperEVM. HYPE holders can vote on Hyperliquid Improvement Proposals (HIPs), including decisions related to protocol upgrades and new market deployments. While protocol revenues are not directly distributed to stakers, Hyperliquid indicates that a significant portion of trading fees is used to repurchase HYPE on the open market via the protocol’s Assistance Fund, which has accumulated tens of millions of tokens through buybacks.
