ConocoPhillips Launches Competency-based eLearning Solution from Gemini
"Training Modules Linked Directly to Quicktest Competency Management Development System"
Calgary, Alberta - Gemini Performance Solutions Inc, (Gemini) has begun
working with ConocoPhillips (Conoco) to deliver a customized, integrated
competency-based training solution to meet Conoco's operations requirements
and occupational health, safety and environmental regulations.
Conoco uses a competency validation solution from Quicktest that records, tracks, measures, and qualifies competencies against identifiable standards for each job task within the company. Each competency requires a training element, however, Conoco found that current training resources were not meeting their needs, often too basic, generic, expensive, not readily available, or nonexistent. They wanted a solution that would allow their employees immediate access from within Quicktest to training that was specific to the competency, and, that could provide a means to measure training results.
Gemini began working closely with Conoco to deliver a custom solution that would meet all Conoco's requirements. The solution included developing new training as well as customizing some existing training from THRIL (The Health, Safety, and Environment Resource iLibrary), which Gemini launched last fall. Gemini also worked with Quicktest to integrate their technologies so that, as competencies are validated and training is identified, employees can now easily access it within Quicktest.
