Husky
retains Gemini for another eLearning Project for Health and Safety Orientation
Program
Follows on the heels of successful launch of eLearning Well Life Cycle Program
Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Gemini
Performance Solutions Inc. (Gemini) will develop additional eLearning courses
using their GEMS SWIFT eLearning technology recently implemented at Husky for
16 Well Life Cycle eLearning courses launched to over 800 employees last fall.
The Health and Safety
Orientation eLearning program will consist of three courses including The
Safety Orientation for Rig Supervisors, How to Use the Husky Safety Manual, and
Train the Trainer Field Orientation. A
major component of the program will be the development of real life
scenario-based exercises to ensure Husky personnel can successfully apply the
appropriate skills and knowledge.
Gemini began specializing in
the Health and Safety industry over a year ago when they developed the
Preventative Health and Safety Management course for Alberta Construction
Safety Association.
"Most organizations provide a
one to two hour Safety Overview and Supervisor Responsibilities Instructor-led
course - full stop", stated Bill Martin who heads up Gemini's Health and Safety
division. There is virtually no learning
involved nor any method employed to determine if personnel understand the
information presented, how to use the safety manual, how to train others or,
how to react in a real life scenario if required."
