Gemini develops Safety Training for Alberta Construction Safety Association
First PIR Distance Learning Program developed for ACSA Members
Calgary, AB, Canada - Gemini Performance Solutions
Inc., (Gemini) announced today that the Alberta Construction Safety Association
(ACSA) retained Gemini to develop a series of Preventative Health and Safety
Management (PHSM) courses tailored to different ACSA industry member groups.
The industry groups targeted include residential, mechanical, plumbing, drywall,
electrical as well as a generic version representing over 30,000 companies.
Gemini has already delivered two of the courses, which ACSA is now rolling out
to their members across the province.
PIR is a voluntary incentive program that operates through the combined efforts
of WCB-Alberta, the provincial government's Human Resources and Employment (AHR&E)-Workplace
Health and Safety department and 17 industry/safety associations.
Gary Wagar, Executive Director for ACSA stated that, "We were
looking for a long term partner with expertise in developing CDROM and online
learning content that could assist us as we transition from delivering our courses
in an instructor-led format. Gemini has proven to be the partner we were looking
