Canfor Division
Launches eLearning Initiative with Gemini
Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Gemini
Learning Systems Inc. (Gemini) announced today that Canfor's Northwood
Pulp Mill division has chosen GeMS SWIFT to develop, deliver, and manage
eLearning courses and content created by them as well as manage their
other third party CBT content.
Elliott Masie, who serves on the White House Advisory
Panel on Expanding Training Opportunities, is widely respected as one
of the original advocates and analysts of the e-learning model, and President
of the MASIE Center recently wrote in his TechLearn TRENDS, "While a large
scale enterprise must implement large scale learning and content management
systems, there is a lot of e-Learning that is happening at the departmental
and small business level. I would like to see a vendor provide a shrink
