Gemini
and VAR Partner IO Technologies Receive Glowing Review from Industry Experts
Superior
learning environment for graphic arts students and professionals.
Calgary, Alberta, Canada - Gemini Learning Systems Inc. (Gemini)
announced today that IO Technologies (IO) and their marketing partner. The
Corporate Education and Training Department of the Rochester
Institute of Technology (RIT) are taking the graphical communications
industry by storm with both their high quality content and the SWIFT Learning
Environment.
Among the accolades received recently, Seybold Reports
stated in their February 13th issue that they, "were duly impressed
by the site's layout, organization, content and testing mechanisms. We
also appreciated the fact that it did not rely on glitzy animation or
recorded voice-overs. Admittedly, online training is a difficult nut to
crack, and, yes, reading text on a screen is not always preferable to
using a book. However, given the high level of integration with testing,
and the system's potential for customization, we feel that RIT's approach
is extremely viable. It will bring a significant body of high-quality
content to a more affordable, accessible level."
Both RIT's senior program manager David Tontarski
and IO Technologies' CEO Eric Kenly had high praises for SWIFT, citing
its "adaptive learning environment" as indispensable in the
creation of the project.

is that a company of IO's size could enter the eLearning market
in less than six months with not one but seven courses", added Kim Adolphe,

In addition to the introductory and intermediate courses
under development for 2002, at least two professional certification courses
are planned. One, titled Color Imaging Professional, was co-developed
with Canon U.S.A., and is slated for release in Q2. The other, available
later in the year, will deal with document management and digital imaging.
In addition to providing the GeMS SWIFT technology,
Gemini is also providing the ASP hosting, e-commerce solution, and content
development expertise.
