Our eLearning Pedigree
Gemini Performance Solutions Inc. was established in 1990
and renamed Gemini Performance Solutions Inc. in 2003,
Gemini has conducted Research and Development (R&D) in
Technology-Based Training (TBT) since 1991. Our first TBT
product, the Adaptive Learning Environment (ALE), SWIFT,
was released in 1995 and implemented Standard Generalized
Markup Language (SGML) for content representation. ALEs,
adaptive testing, and SGML were just a few of the many
features that Gemini implemented into our development that
have now proven to be highly visionary and beneficial to
our clients. Gemini also chose to develop our own web
server (HTTP Listener) as opposed to relying on third party
web servers such as Microsoft's® IIS©. Having set up and hosted one of
the first Internet services to the public in 1991, Gemini
has an extensive background and understanding of the
Internet and ASP hosting.
Some of our R&D initiatives have been in partnership
with a wide variety of organizations including Open
Learning Agency of British Columbia, Isogen International,
Alberta Research Council, Simon Fraser University, European
Association for Distance Teaching Union, and others.
Gemini's R&D initiatives have and will continue to
include applying Artificial Intelligence to training,
implementing progressive learning and assessment methods,
and leveraging investments in XML content to provide other
practical applications for content reuse. Read more about those who have
contributed to Gemini's eLearning Development.
Gemini's clients include both small and large
enterprises ranging from Real Estate Investment Trusts,
Forestry, Publishing and Graphical Communications,
Environment, Health and Safety, to Engineering, Private
Education and Public Education markets.
